A Healthy Choice – Grilled Salmon with Veggies

Growing up I really hated green beans. My mother Ora never cooked fish for us. We were all about meat and potatoes in our family. Now I eat salmon and fresh veggies. Not only does it look appetizing, but it’s also packed with nutrients that do wonders for your body.

Why Grilled Salmon?

Salmon is often hailed as a superfood, and for good reason. It’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to support heart health, reduce inflammation, and even boost brain function. Plus, salmon is a great source of high-quality protein, helping to keep you full and energized throughout the day.

I was never a cook until I developed Diabetes. Now enjoy simple easy cooking. Salmon coated with Olive Oil and sprinkled with Lemon Pepper is easy to fry in a pan. We can get creative by adding herbs like dill or rosemary to enhance the flavor. If you are not a cook, experiment with cooking. Figure out what satisfies your taste buds and what foods work best for your body. Whatever you do, stay away from processed foods. It’s easier than you think and really not expensive to eat healthy. Your body will thank you.

In this meal, the salmon is served alongside a generous helping of grilled asparagus and a side of green beans. These veggies are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber, making them the perfect complement to the protein-rich salmon. Asparagus, in particular, is a great source of folate and vitamin K, while green beans offer a healthy dose of vitamins A, C, and K.

Make a promise to your self to eat healthy, if you already do, keep it up. It’s not fun when you are unhealthy.
