You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.
That’s a saying I grew up with. Yes we had horses. Now when it come’s to talking to my relatives and friend’s, to anyone who will listen about health, I say to myself, “I can lead horses to water, but I can’t make them drink.” I have an over weight baby brother. He knows he is over weight and he is Insulin Resistant (leads to Diabetes). Thank God he is watching the way he eats now. I think along with watching me inject Insulin before Thanksgiving Dinner and baby brother having Power Of Attorney for our oldest brother with Parkinson’s Disease he made up his mind to do something about his health. I don’t talk to him about what to eat unless he ask. He has made it clear to me that he is not going to eat the way I eat. Baby Bother started cutting down on Sweet Tea first, now he is cutting down on bread. He is making changes, it takes time to change old ways with most everything. Processed, sugar laden, chemical laden foods are quick, easy and addictive. Habits can be addictive. He eat’s too much meat. Yes it is possible to eat too much meat. I am happy that he is now starting to eat at home. He will figure out why is stomach is so BIG. It’s because of the packed in meat that is slow to digest. In wish I could get him to eat Natto.
