Banana

I struggle with eating a Banana. I want to eat Banana’s because of the high calories. I am a Thin Type 1 Insulin dependent Diabetic. I need High potassium and magnesium to keep the leg cramps to a minimum while sleeping. However for me, if I eat a whole banana it will raise my glucose too high, too fast for too long. I would have to inject rapid acting Insulin 30 minutes before eating a whole banana. When we inject insulin it will lower our glucose only to rise again when we eat. This is like being on an uncomfortable roller coster ride.
I’d rather eat 1 banana throughout the day one bite at a time to avoid a spike in glucose.
