Fresh Fruit

If you are addicted to sweets like I was, it will take you awhile to detox, to stop the cravings. After I started injecting myself with Insulin I was told by a Chiropractor to try the herb Gymnena Sylvestre a plant from India. I highly recommend this herb to help slow down cravings for sweets. It worked for me. Find a brand with the least amount of filler’s on the ingredient label. I started changing the way I eat. I was trying to figure out what, when, where, how I should eat. I took me awhile.

I actually cut out all fruit in the beginning because I was doing my best to keep my Glucose down. Take a look at a Glycemic Index. Explore – Research. The Glycemic Index is close to how different foods & different body’s react to anything we eat or drink. Even water, not all water is equal.

I don’t eat Banana’s, maybe one once in a great while. Banana’s spike my Glucose too high, too fast for too long. I will eat a Banana through out the day, one bite at a time. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, pine apple, apple, cherries, grapes, melons, pears are all deliciously sweet.

I like fruit with seeds. Recently I bought dark seedless grapes. Rinsed them off. The grapes tasted strange. A smell of a chemical, a very odd taste the made you think these grapes have been heavily sprayed and not long ago. Careful of the fruits you select. Eat your fruit to your liking. Eat some fruit, stay away from the processed foods as much as you can. Take a break from fruit, then go back to eating your favorite fruit. It’s not easy but will become a habit after you give it a good try. Over time natural fruit will become sweeter tasting.
